Hi John,

We love the Mac. But no plans for a Mac version... yet. Also, waiting to see when Safari intends to support O3D.

At this point bootcamp/parallels would be the best way to go to run JIG on a Mac.

You mentioned about porting it, are you a QT or Mac developer?

hi

please forgive the late reply, I was expecting an email notification that didn't come...

I have tried Jig on the Mac using XP Pro/Parralels, which is why I want it on osx...

I'm not a developer, but have written some plugins for Sketchup and have been playing around with O3D inside a Sketchup web dialog which is a Safari NSwindow both online and locally using gears, I dont't find it any different in safari, firefox or IE but do have problems stopping/quitting with OmniWeb...

I also built a webkit minibrowser that I run Gears/O3D with and pausing the beach demo is the only feature I can't seem to achieve...

my comment regarding a port should have capitalised 'ATTEMPT' as I'm really only teaching myself coding/scripting in my spare time, and wouldn't mind attempting to get JIG working in osx...

Hi John,

Interesting stuff that you mentioned.

You may have noticed that Google officially stated that O3D will reside as a layer over WebGL. The O3D plugin will be supported for at least another year.

This is good news. And, we are currently reviewing what in direction things will develop and how we can best align our solutions. At the same time these changes mean we have to do things a bit differently. But that was expected.

What is of particular interest is the fact the WebGL is webkit based which means that Safari, Apple products and cellphones will be more involved now.
